Q: How do I take tests in an online class?
A: Tests are done within the online course system. Students should have a wired connection to avoid any issues caused by a drop in connection. Some faculty will have additional requirements for test security and integrity measures.
Exam Proctor – Instructors who require a proctor for testing will have a form and guidelines posted in their online classes. Students need to complete the form and return it to the instructor by the date indicated. Proctors cannot be friends, students, or relatives. The guidelines list possible resources for proctoring services which may include public schools, public libraries, college test centers, public/community test centers, etc.
Lockdown Browser –Get the free download. Install the lockdown browser on the computer used for testing prior to the first exam. If you are testing at a remote or proctor location that may have download restrictions and firewalls, you should work with them before your first test to be sure they can load the software onto their computer.

Lake Region State College is the largest and longest-serving dual credit provider in the state of North Dakota. Dual Credit or sometimes called Early Entry is when a sophomore, junior, or senior enrolls into a college course and in many cases earns high school credit upon successful completion of the college course. This gifted and talented student program helps high school students apply a more rigorous academic schedule while still in high school. At the same time, this student can earn credits toward a college degree and towards their high school graduation at a reduced tuition cost while the student is still living at home. More than 750 high school students enroll in early entry opportunities with 体育外围网 every semester.

Student Complaint Process
Lake Region State College is a regionally accredited institution. A set of academic standards and policies that guide our institution can be found on pages 42-45 in 体育外围网’s Official Catalog. The catalog outlines the appeal process for administrative and academic decisions.
In the event that a complaint cannot be resolved at the College level, all students can contact the North Dakota University System (NDUS) which is governed by the State Board of Higher Education. The NDUS is also the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (SARA) portal agency in North Dakota.

Lake Region State College offers two programs online that may require licensure before working in that field: Early Childhood Education and Speech-Language Pathology Paraprofessional. These programs have been created to meet the licensure requirements in North Dakota. Students who currently live in any state other than North Dakota should be aware of these requirements. Students seeking to pursue any of the following degrees outside of North Dakota must contact the Office of Distance Education to confirm whether the program may be licensed in the students' home state.

A: Students need to start with an application for admission to begin the enrollment process.
Q: I’m a student at another college or university. Can I take a class?
A: Yes. The best route for students in the North Dakota University System is a Collaborative enrollment, but you must be enrolled in at least one course or credit at your home institution (the home institution is the college or university from which you are seeking a degree). If you are not enrolled at your home institution, apply for admission as a non-degree-seeking student.
Q: Do I have to pay the $35 admission fee?
A: Yes, if this is your first course at 体育外围网 you will pay the admission fee. If you have previously attended 体育外围网, the fee will be waived.
Q: When do summer courses start?
A: Most courses begin June 6th. Some start earlier. Check the term schedule on the 体育外围网 Website for a list of summer dates.
Q: What is the cost of a class?
A: Online tuition is charged, at a per credit hour rate of $219.17/credit hour. Textbooks and supplies can vary and are an additional cost.
Q: I can’t register for English Composition or Math (College Algebra). What should I do?
A: Placement scores are required by the NDUS for these courses. The most common score is the ACT English and Math subscores. Other scores can be substituted. See the 体育外围网 Website for test score information. Scores can be submitted to the 体育外围网 Admissions Office.

Q: Is there a specific time that I need to be in class?
A: Usually, no. Courses are ‘Asynchronous’. That means the instructor and student are not generally in the class at the same time. Online courses are designed to be flexible. Assignments, discussions, and quizzes/tests are due on specific days/times during the week or unit. A few courses do utilize a weekly chat session in real-time to discuss topics and answer student questions.
Q: Will a book be required for my course?

Q: How is credit transferred to the college or university when the course is complete?
